Customers are supported in taking responsibility for their own health and well-being and are encouraged to empower themselves by doing their own research to find the best way to manage their own health and wellness. To help support this vision, the department offers a health-minded book section and magazines, a reference library, free magazines, product information and ongoing seminars on salient topics.

The friendly and knowledgeable Wellness staff rack up many years experience in retail sales between them, and are highly qualified in various fields of natural healing. They frequently attend training seminars to keep abreast of industry changes and the availability of new products. In this retail setting however, the staff are not permitted to diagnose or prescribe for a customer, but their role is to listen and help empower each customer in finding a health solution that is positive and unique to their own situation. For example, the staff may recommend a specific book, refer a customer to the reference library, provide literature on relevant supplements, steer a customer towards some positive dietary changes, or recommend the guidance of a practitioner.
